Its over...

Now see here. I work at a fast food restraunt, and people are very rude to us employees. Now I would like to say, we do make mistakes. Of course we do. Its a given, and everyone does.

And sometimes i feel like people think that im trying to make they're lives horrid. Trust me, I did not wake up this morning thinking "i want to make they're lives miserable"

And also, please do not treat us like slaves. Slavery is over. We are employed, trained, and there to get you what you want. But we also have feelings, lives.

Please don't be rude. We are people just like you.

Kay, I'm done now.

So many people sweat they're way through the summer thinking "Wow, I can't wait for winter. It'll be a nice break" And yeah, thats me. Concerning our winter didn't start untill like...a month ago. But we've rarely had a break since. Im good now. I found my flip flops in my closet this morning, and the past few summers of entertainment flashed through my eyes.

Plus, photography is a lot more motavating when you don't have to put on six layers of clothes, and then head outside. to find that you spent a half an hour of preparation to walk out and realize you didn't charge your battery. I find it more fun in the summer. Because you can just slip into your Flippy Floppies and head out, to find that you didn't charge your battery.

This has been a great winter for photography, indeed. I've gotten some shots I would willingly say "Goodjob Jon" and then pat myself on the back. But I've also grown in maturity, with photography. I've done a lot of studying, I know what people like to see. I. Am. ready.

(que inception soundtrack)

I have a new perspective on the world, a new camera, and a new audience. (swiched lenses in slow motion, inception soundtrack still going) I'm ready to face the searing, summer sun, with some sunblock, and sunglasses. Im ready to get out my shorts, put on my flip flops, get out a beach chair, and people watch on the beach. I. Am. Ready.

Walking in (and out) the winter wonderland!

I suppose I could show you what i've been working on as of late...basically nothing. I was rather caught up in school, and thanksgiving, and Family. I know, I know, all my fans are booing and sueing me for no posting, not that there are many fans to sue me. aw well.

Anyways. It fiiiinnnaaaallllyyyy snowed here in Northern MI...and stuck. there is a difference. it snowed a month ago, didn't stick, didn't count. anyways. So i wake up one morning...look out my window and think "Oh what a beautiful day it is for a walk" so...Prepare myself for public, put on my coat. open the door. and withen a few minutes i find out that this white stuff on the ground is rather cold. (yes i know...it surprises me every year) So i walk back inside, warm my hands up, put on another coat. and head out. It took me a few minutes, again to realise one thing...

ITS SUPER COLD OUTSIDE

I forgot my camera...

So i walk back, grab the camera. and leave. this is for sure now. Im off. walking down the red brick road. See a totally picture-perfect tree, snap a picture, another picture...one moreeeee...okay...perfect. I then see lamp...of course! A lamp! I then pull up my camera...focus it, zoom, exposure. and *Click* and i get a reading on the screen saying "Battery Out"

...

*Sigh*

...

*bigger sigh*

...

*way bigger sigh*

...

*biggest sigh*
...

...Best day ever! I've braved the cold for 45 minutes, walked in and out of my house like a mad man. and got one good picture.  But thats how (real) photography works. you could take 300 pictures...and only have 10 turn out how you wanted them to. It probably sounds depressing right? Its not once you get used to it. But so is depression :P

So thats the one! Thanks for reading!

Give them a Smile!

To my old followers. this is a changed version of my recaint blog called "the time of a Teenager trying to start a band" (gasps for air) I found a new hobby, that i find to enjoy...lets just say allot better. I might as well just tell you what this new found hobby is...

...Photography...

...Who knew? (my dad...but thats not the point) I've  been loading my computer's hard drive with these photos for the past 2 years. I counted, and I have around 400 photos. Im stuck using a really cheap 4 year old Pentaz K200D (having the Pentax K200 without the D at the end isn't nearly as awesome by the way) Its a camera i adoped from my father...who adopted it from Amazon (they should pay me for advertizing) and Amazon adopted it from a feller who was selling it. and i don't know who this feller is. but i've got to say. If you happen to think you sold a Pentax K200D to a man 4 years ago over Amazon, and your reading this blog. i have one thing to say too you, and that is...

...your box packing skills stink!!!!
...I love you random fella!

And wheni say i have been into photography. i don't mean "i have an I-phone and i happen to have instagram" (more advertising...pay up instagram) there is no where that little twerpy application that you used to take a picture of your doughnut of can take you as far as photography goes! So please stop acting like spending $600+ on a camera is stupid when your iphone takes better pictures. the thing about these SLR's. is that you actually have to KNOW how to use it...yes...i know...its scary...Knowledge! you might have to take a class. and most librarys do offer those classes, sometimes for free. But the only reason you can't take a good picture with a big bulky SLR is because you don't know how to use it.

I'm not saying you know how to use your smartphone (im saving this for another Blog)

but for real. a vintage picture of your new favorite breakfast is not photography. You couldn't even call that Culinary art! plus. you'll have a new favorite breakast tomorrow. So pelase stop disrespecting the words "Photgraphy" and "Culinary Art" and say a polite "thank you" to the person in Taco Bell who made you're new favorite burrito for you.

Give the cooks the credit. if you worked 8 hour days behind a counter making food for people who complane about your terrible cooking. Now put yourself in that spot...and imagin someone who said

"Thanks for the Taco!"

...lets face it. you'd be in shock for a few minutes. then you'd realize you have a few more crabby custumers glaring daggers into your heart, wishing death upon you. So you keep cooking. you go home. and you sit there thinking about how nice that person is.

...Now put yourself back in the shoes of the person who said "thank you". You now have a complete stranger thinking about how awesome you are. boom.

Anyways. I'll have some photos ready for you guys soon! check back with me by saturday!
