When Death is Crowned: Incorporating circles of circular knowing.

Aton knew he only had a few seconds to react. Grabbing his grappling gun, launching it into the floor. Was she escaping? Did she know? Or is this simply a mistake? Either way he needed to save her, and he needed to do it fast. Wind was rustling through his hair, he jumped.

She had about twenty feet on him. He needed to make this quicker. He was slacking. He folded his arms and made himself as dynamic as possible, and began his hot pursuit on Tracy. That was her name. He remembered that just now. That’s what they told him to call her. But he knew better. You don’t capture an American woman, erase her memory, and then call her by her real name. This woman was going to be an assassin.

His thoughts were racing as he finally caught up to her. He threw his arms around her. She was cold, lifeless. Was she dead? That’d suck. But either way he needed to save himself. He wrapped his legs around her, and took ahold of his grapple. And suddenly…

…It jerked. HE ran out of slack. And of course, He dropped her in the process. He reached into his coat and pulled out his whip. As quickly as he could he roped her up, and started pulling his weight, and her weight up the grapple. He heard voices from above. He was in trouble. And so was she.

“Where is she?” Trevor demanded while leaning over a table, maps sprawled out. “I know that she isn’t dead, she’s way too powerful to die by a simple missile strike like back in New York.”

It had been weeks since the incident. Nobody knows where she is yet. They already had an identity scan through the nation. And she hadn’t shown up. They suspected the Chinese. It’s almost too obvious. They are arming they’re submarines with nukes and surrounding the United States as they spoke. They were prepared for total warfare. And America was not prepared at all.

One of the Analysts spoke up, “Sir, maybe it’s the Russians. They haven’t communicated with us in weeks. We tried contacting them and there was no answer.”

That had to be it. He had no leads at the moment. He was getting desperate. He had a paint brush, a canvas, and a deadline; but he was missing paint. “Get a satellite pointed at them! We need to get David here immediately!” He pulled out his phone and dialed the number.

Ringing, Ringing, Ringing, and more Ringing. He yelled into the phone “DAVID YOU BETTER PICK UP THE PHONE OR I’LL HAVE YOU ARRESTED!” He took a deep breath.

The phone clicked, a soft voice said hesitantly “Hello?”

“David. This is Trevor Volting. And we need you to the headquarters immediately. We need you to hack Russia.”

The voice spoke again with a little more confidence, “Hold on. I’m working on something…”

Trevor could hear button mashing, Video games. This made him furious. “PAUSE YOUR FREAKING GAME, PUT THE CONTROLLER DOWN, AND GET YOUR SORRY BUTT DOWN HERE AS SOON AS YOU CAN! Got it?”

He heard clattering. David picked up his phone off the floor. Probably scared him out of his mind, chicken, “Y-y-yes sir! I’ll be there as soon as I can, Sir!”

Trevor spoke with a soft polite voice this time, “Thank you.” then hung up. Slipping his phone into his pocket he looked around at everybody in the control room. They were all motionless, literally, except for Timothy. Things were getting strange around here. And he knew then, how great each decision he makes, will impact the life of humanity. Little did he know though that every decision he makes will greatly impact the fate of the galaxy, and the stars beyond it.

In 30 seconds...

So much can happen in 30 seconds. So much time passes in 30 seconds yet we see it as such a small amount of time. what can we do in 30 seconds?

-Give your cat a good petting.
-Think a lot of thoughts.
-Pour a glass of water.
-Burn a poptart.
-Fold a blanket.
-Take a picture.

This is a focus on what you can do in 30 seconds. I had an experience taking a picture that really changed the way I see the world work. I kinda see things in slow motion now.

I was on my way home from orchestra and the fog was thick, very thick. I got home, grabbed my tripod, camera, and headed out the door. I ran down the street. Out of breath at the top of a hill, I set up my tripod and set the shutterspeed on my camera for 30 seconds. *Cli-*(30 seconds of selince)...
*-ick*

That was the longest 30 seconds in my life. But it was well worth it. When I saw the result I jumped for joy. People driving by probably thought some nice thoughts about me. But it was well worth that also.

The abnormal macro shot...

Sometime you get an idea in your head, and you find yourself shooting something completly different. Yesterday I left on a long (one hour) jurney through challenging trundra (a slightly snowy sidewalk) to get a sunset shot. On my way I found myself looking at an art gallery with upside down tulip hanging from above. I stood there or a long (probably 10 seconds) before I changed my mind and decided that this tulip...would be the main the main object of this shoot. It was the shortest shoot in the world. But its one of my more recongnized pictures allready. Here it is...

B&W+Sunsets=Interesting

One thing about photography is that you really, really, really need to find your own style, or tone. You need to find what you appreciate yourself. and also find your audience. and also learn what they like too see. Also get creative. honestly  if your aren't creative, don't get into art.

I took a picture of a sunset the other day, and realized how cliche it is to take pictures of a sunset. I was sitting there trying to find what I could do to make this picture different. It finally applied B&W to the picture. It is worked just great on this. Its not something you see everyday, Black and White on a picture. But in my humble oppinion it was very appealing to the eye.

The great ouside

I awoke this morning too a dark room, and smiled. I could hear the frigid wind gusting its way around my towering household. It was the perfect day for a specific shot I've been dreaming of for over the past two years.

I throw my balmy covers off of me, and shiver at the realization that my room, is too, also frigid. Touching my feet to the floor sent chills up and down my spine. You get the point, it was cold.

One thing led to another and I was outside, in full winter gear, prepared for total gusts of pure snow. With a camera on a tripod, I was standing on the top of a hill, totally exposed to bitter winter. I had it set and ready, it looked exactly how I pictured it in my head (only better) and I was ready...for...a sore finger. After continuous shutter sound for an hour, my neighbor was watching me, probably thinking I'm a madman. Especially when I was dancing in a snowdrift after I finally got the shot.

Here's the picture...

But here I am. scoping out the competition, thinking "Wow, I don't stand a chance" But then again I wonder if everyone else is thinking the same thing. There are some really great pictures out there. I allready have a favorite, and its not mine.

But I hope I win, It would be great. Here's the picture I posted for the contest.

Kay, I'm done now.

So many people sweat they're way through the summer thinking "Wow, I can't wait for winter. It'll be a nice break" And yeah, thats me. Concerning our winter didn't start untill like...a month ago. But we've rarely had a break since. Im good now. I found my flip flops in my closet this morning, and the past few summers of entertainment flashed through my eyes.

Plus, photography is a lot more motavating when you don't have to put on six layers of clothes, and then head outside. to find that you spent a half an hour of preparation to walk out and realize you didn't charge your battery. I find it more fun in the summer. Because you can just slip into your Flippy Floppies and head out, to find that you didn't charge your battery.

This has been a great winter for photography, indeed. I've gotten some shots I would willingly say "Goodjob Jon" and then pat myself on the back. But I've also grown in maturity, with photography. I've done a lot of studying, I know what people like to see. I. Am. ready.

(que inception soundtrack)

I have a new perspective on the world, a new camera, and a new audience. (swiched lenses in slow motion, inception soundtrack still going) I'm ready to face the searing, summer sun, with some sunblock, and sunglasses. Im ready to get out my shorts, put on my flip flops, get out a beach chair, and people watch on the beach. I. Am. Ready.

Wet Blankets...

WARNING: The following post is a rant, if you would like to just look at the picture, and skip the rant, just move on to the big number "2" thank you for reading,

#1: I woke up this morning, and double checked to see if it was valentines day. Yep, it is. I thought about how it seems people are making it way more then it is. I see facebook debates, other blogs posting they're stance on this day, also known as "Feb 14th". I find that My stance on it, is I don't have a stance. I would rather use the brain cells fighting for Orphans.

But in all serousness, It's stupid. I saw as many statuses/blogs about Valentines day as the presidental election last november. Now this is also known as "singles awareness day" but for non-americans, the fourth of july isn't "Not-americans awareness day"

Love exists... let it for those who have it. Now if other countries tried taking away the 4th of July from America, There would be war. When other religions try taking away christmas, it gets to be a big deal.

I find that even with simple statuses, for example "I like oreos" You have people posting "Gross! I hate oreos!" It's like "Then post that as your status, this status is for those who *like* oreos" I like to call those people "Party Poopers" "Wet blankets" or worse of all "Wet socks"

For goodness sake, let someone have fun without being a pickle in a cookie jar. Just let the cookies have fun without getting pickle juice on them, and making them feel soggy and gross, Please! Kay, I'm done now.

#2: Here is my pic for Valentines day

wet socks

So, one of the worlds more dreaded feelings. We can do rollarcoasters, air planes, race cars, and even join the milatary. Yet, we all dread...(shudder shudder)...Wet Socks....(shudder)

I was out by lake Michigan shooting my canon (camera...not an actual canon) And I was out in some deep snow. When I say "deep snow" I think like 6-12 inches, so im walking, snow boots, and snow pants. trudging through the snow. All ready to take an awesome picture. And...

...*scludge*...

This 6-12 inch snow had a bunch of snow babies, it was probably two and a half feet deep. It pushed my snow pants up, and sent snow down my boots. So now these well insulated boots are doing their job, and melting the snow and you-know-what (if you don't. the answer is "Wet socks")

I was frozen, In a state of wetsockness. There is nothing you can do, to prevent this from stopping. I was out in the cold,. frigid air, blasting my allready arctic face. It was only a matter of time before I had frozen socks. My wet hair from the shower, was allready frozen on the tips. I had to get this shot quick.

Now, getting the perfect shot is impossible. Getting something close is hard. I got something close (happy smile) I was going for a Snow covered hill, with grass still poking out, with foot steps going off, over the hill. Can you picture it? If not, thats fine. I got the picture for you. Here...

Been cold (rainy) winter.

I live in the general Northern part of the lower part of Michigan. It's a jurney, let me tell you. You'd think us to have 6 feet of snow every morning. But in reality, winter didn't start till a few weeks ago. It's been the worst winter since I moved up here 5 years ago, Its intense. But It's also been quite the oppertunity to nab some fantastic pictures. With the new camera and everything its really been great.

I went out on a photoshoot, with nature, two weeks ago. And I did manage snap some really good shots. Well, I was going to get a really great shot of something (trys to eplain and fails miserably) And my battery went dead (orders a substitute battery) So I'll show you my favorite shot from that shoot. Here...

Thank you for reading everybody. And go check out my page on facebook called "I spy Photography" I'll throw the link up as soon as I can :)

Walking in (and out) the winter wonderland!

I suppose I could show you what i've been working on as of late...basically nothing. I was rather caught up in school, and thanksgiving, and Family. I know, I know, all my fans are booing and sueing me for no posting, not that there are many fans to sue me. aw well.

Anyways. It fiiiinnnaaaallllyyyy snowed here in Northern MI...and stuck. there is a difference. it snowed a month ago, didn't stick, didn't count. anyways. So i wake up one morning...look out my window and think "Oh what a beautiful day it is for a walk" so...Prepare myself for public, put on my coat. open the door. and withen a few minutes i find out that this white stuff on the ground is rather cold. (yes i know...it surprises me every year) So i walk back inside, warm my hands up, put on another coat. and head out. It took me a few minutes, again to realise one thing...

ITS SUPER COLD OUTSIDE

I forgot my camera...

So i walk back, grab the camera. and leave. this is for sure now. Im off. walking down the red brick road. See a totally picture-perfect tree, snap a picture, another picture...one moreeeee...okay...perfect. I then see lamp...of course! A lamp! I then pull up my camera...focus it, zoom, exposure. and *Click* and i get a reading on the screen saying "Battery Out"

...

*Sigh*

...

*bigger sigh*

...

*way bigger sigh*

...

*biggest sigh*
...

...Best day ever! I've braved the cold for 45 minutes, walked in and out of my house like a mad man. and got one good picture.  But thats how (real) photography works. you could take 300 pictures...and only have 10 turn out how you wanted them to. It probably sounds depressing right? Its not once you get used to it. But so is depression :P

So thats the one! Thanks for reading!

Give them a Smile!

To my old followers. this is a changed version of my recaint blog called "the time of a Teenager trying to start a band" (gasps for air) I found a new hobby, that i find to enjoy...lets just say allot better. I might as well just tell you what this new found hobby is...

...Photography...

...Who knew? (my dad...but thats not the point) I've  been loading my computer's hard drive with these photos for the past 2 years. I counted, and I have around 400 photos. Im stuck using a really cheap 4 year old Pentaz K200D (having the Pentax K200 without the D at the end isn't nearly as awesome by the way) Its a camera i adoped from my father...who adopted it from Amazon (they should pay me for advertizing) and Amazon adopted it from a feller who was selling it. and i don't know who this feller is. but i've got to say. If you happen to think you sold a Pentax K200D to a man 4 years ago over Amazon, and your reading this blog. i have one thing to say too you, and that is...

...your box packing skills stink!!!!
...I love you random fella!

And wheni say i have been into photography. i don't mean "i have an I-phone and i happen to have instagram" (more advertising...pay up instagram) there is no where that little twerpy application that you used to take a picture of your doughnut of can take you as far as photography goes! So please stop acting like spending $600+ on a camera is stupid when your iphone takes better pictures. the thing about these SLR's. is that you actually have to KNOW how to use it...yes...i know...its scary...Knowledge! you might have to take a class. and most librarys do offer those classes, sometimes for free. But the only reason you can't take a good picture with a big bulky SLR is because you don't know how to use it.

I'm not saying you know how to use your smartphone (im saving this for another Blog)

but for real. a vintage picture of your new favorite breakfast is not photography. You couldn't even call that Culinary art! plus. you'll have a new favorite breakast tomorrow. So pelase stop disrespecting the words "Photgraphy" and "Culinary Art" and say a polite "thank you" to the person in Taco Bell who made you're new favorite burrito for you.

Give the cooks the credit. if you worked 8 hour days behind a counter making food for people who complane about your terrible cooking. Now put yourself in that spot...and imagin someone who said

"Thanks for the Taco!"

...lets face it. you'd be in shock for a few minutes. then you'd realize you have a few more crabby custumers glaring daggers into your heart, wishing death upon you. So you keep cooking. you go home. and you sit there thinking about how nice that person is.

...Now put yourself back in the shoes of the person who said "thank you". You now have a complete stranger thinking about how awesome you are. boom.

Anyways. I'll have some photos ready for you guys soon! check back with me by saturday!
